Why do we have to keep the copper bracelet and ring (for magnetic theraphy) away from computers etc.?

I sometimes forget and wear it when i am on the computer. does it give me any harm?

Any sort of magnets can affect computers because computers use magnetic media in floppy disks, hard disks, and other information storage.

HOWEVER, because of that, computer manufacturers have designed the cases to withstand lower level magnetic fields, which is what the bracelets and rings would have. That being said, floppy disks can get erased by being too close to magnets like that and you shouldn't have magnets too close to computers too often for too long because magnetic charges can build over time, so repeated use can add a partial magnetic charge to the case, which could in turn affect the hard drive.... but it would take a stronger magnetic field than the bracelets have to affect a hard drive with a quick exposure.
