PMS/Depression?!

Question:

PMS/Depression?

I have a daughter who goes through depression one week prior to her cycle and I was wondering what are some vitamins or suppliments we might could try to ease her teary eyes and tiredness during these times?

Answers: B-50 vitamins and take cal/mag preacidified liquid form at night. Also try flax seed, primrose or blackcurrant.(as directed on label).Studies have shown calcium supplements reduce symptoms as much as 30%.Wild yam cream also placed on belly, then next wrist, then place on chest.Rotate the places you apply. evening primrose oil can work wonders. encourage her to get enough rest and sleep.
it's better she is occupied on something she loves most to do during the pms week
it's also good that the people around her understand & supportive when she's on such condition
natural way too is taking camomille tea before sleeping I dont use medicans, but no junk and lots of fruits and vegetables will help. 8 glasses of water is a must.
Let her pratice simple yoga and relaxation every morning and evening also if possible. St Johns Wort works wonders!

But I would stay on that, as it takes 2 weeks for it to actually start to work. I used to be like that. Regular exercise, drinking lots of water & no sodas, and eating no junk food got rid of it for me. The exercise doesn't need to be extreme - go for a walk. Make it a family time - everyone needs exercise. Oh I relate! I get the CRAZIES! have heard that Omega-3's are beneficial so I have been eating lots of walnuts. I can't afford the salmon so much... I think I've heard that a deficiency of Omega-3 fatty acids are also a factor in post-partum depression and definitely worth checking into. It's only been a couple of months for me trying to feel better with the fatty acids I probably need, so the jury is still out for me. I have a daughter who gets depressed as well and it helps to realize what the problem really is (just hormones and not a horrible, terrible, worthless life) and I always need to remind her that when she starts to feel really bad, she probably needs to take a good nap or get to bed early. We both get depressed when we don't get enough sleep.
