Xanax info?
I just keep hearing about it and I want some basics about it(all I really know is its a prescription pill). What's the deal with Xanax? Whats the big craze about it? What was it made for(like what was it made to treat)? How does it make you feel, is it expensive? That kind of stuff.
Answers: all i know is that it gets you high. Xanax is prescribed for anxiety and also for people who have panic attacks. It is a benzodiazapine.
Some people, that are not prescribed it, like to take it for a "high" although it does not really bring on any "high" feelings. Some people, it just simply makes them tired and sleepy. Xanax is a BENZODIAZAPINE, also known as a minor tranquilizer, or an anti-anxiety agent. It's a lot like valium or ativan, other anti-anxiety meds. It is habit forming. It is only legally available from a doctor, and is usually prescribed for anxiety on a short term basis. It is OK for major anxiety producing life situations, but is really a bad idea to get involved with. It is a life saver if you have severe anxiety, but if you are just looking to get high, this isn't a drug of choice. It just calms you down and makes you feel a little tired if anxious...A little bit more info can be found at Yahoo Health: Xanax was primarily for anxiety and certain forms of depression. It has been found to also be very good for controlling road rage and hand tremors which unless is previously diagnosed as Parkinsons, is usually caused by some form of trauma; i.e. auto accidents where there is damage to the spine cord, vertabrae and the sciatic nerve is effected....there are so many uses.
For those using it to get high, are you really sure that is what you want to do with it? Like anything else that helps us, can also harm or kill us if abused.
I take it for severe ROAD RAGE, Anger Management problems, and hand tremors from a compilation of vehicular (1 motorcycle/2 auto.), and 1 job related accidents (Greenskeeper II). None of my vehicular accidents were work related-but my road rage is related to a former job of being a delivery driver for a pizza chain in a tourist trap full of idiots that see that stupid sign on top of your car and only see $$$s, not realizing that most delivery chains-the driver is usually subcontracted as a driver which drives their auto insurance sky high and then you have rude tourists to deal with in sweltering heat after you just had to run up 4 flights of stairs to make sure the food got there in time, still hot, and hoping for a good tip, but it don't quite work that way.
This attitude is mild compared to what I did before being put on it to protect the public.
So you see, Xanax if taken properly is very productive and can quickly combat that urge that people with anger issues have to beat the living sh*t out of some one that desperately deserves it. When correctly taken as prescribed, it has protected many a arsewipe moke that decided to either ride someone's bumper or cut them off on the road from getting really hurt .
I tried once to get high on it, took an extra dose and was sick as a dog, disconnected almost felt like someone slipped me a nasty micky. That taught me to take it as prescribed, no problems since.
Because of severe reactions to meds directly meant for people like me, they (my Drs) found that I was safe with the Xanax w/out the reactions.
Also instead of running in fear (yes, I have done things I'm not proud of) certain people are willing to talk to me knowing the Xanax is keeping them safe-that is those that are not that close to me.
