How many sleeping pills do you have to take to OD?!

Question:

How many sleeping pills do you have to take to OD?

my friend has been taking sleeping pills to get high.
he's taking 16 before but didn't OD.
i was wondering how many it would take to OD, so i make sure he doesn't take that much.

[[and i know i shouldn't let him take any, but he wont listen to me]]

Answers: Hey there Tiny, you need to get someone else involved if you value your friend's life. I know that you don't want to "rat" him out, but are you really willing to risk your friend's life on the off chance that you can control anything? If your friend won't listen to you about taking the drug to begin with, what makes you think you can control the outcome of something as serious as this?

Bless you for caring, but do the right thing and help your friend out, before the choice is taken out of your hands. Source(s):
Personal experience. your friend needs an intervention. drugs are very risky business. my advice, get someone involved because the more he continues taking the meds, his body will develop a tolerance to the medicine and he will end up having to take more to get the same effect as before. sleeping pills decrease heart and breathing rates so if he takes higher and higher doses then he risks stopping his heart.
seek intervention - you could end up saving his life. and if he hates you, fine because you are doing something to help him and he will realize this later - it make take years for him to realize how stupid this is, but its better for him to hate you or be mad at you now then for him to die when he obviously needs help.
talk to your parents, school counselor or a trusted mentor (another relative, neighbor, pastor, etc) about the best way to help your friend. Depends what kind of sleeping pills they are. well then it's time to go to an adult. more than the dose it says on the bottle is ODing. Even if it doesn't kill you. It depends on your Body Weight. And how your body metabolises. There is no precise intake. Everyone is different.

Best Case is STOP taking them.
