Answers: yeah, actually we served them not too long ago at work.
the ones we made were lightly dusted with coconut and were served as an accompaniment to seared scallops over risotto with a mango burre blanc....it was delicious..
i didn't care for them by themselves, but with the right dish they are excellent We will deep fry anything down here in the south. yes, fried pickles HOOTERS, rocks they have the best. did you know there are fried OREO cookies! Not too great. I've heard of them but I've never tried them. I'd be more likely to try fried green beans than fried pickles that's for sure. Just about anything can be deep fried - I have made tempura batter and fried all sorts of veggies - fried asparagus with a miso soy dipping sauce is great
