Answers: http://quitsmoking.about.com/od/tipsforq... stitch his mouth Call or get online with the American Lung Association. They have mass info. Good luck http://smokefreehealth.blogspot.com/... ya there are lot of withdrawl symptoms in a chronic smoker.they feel inconvinient, restless, anxietic and r shorttempered.on can stop smoking only by determined mind, family and friends support, yoga, good thoughts and healthy life style. cigarettes smoking can be stopped by adoapting a smilier habit insted of smoking. OK lets try keep some chewingums and choklates with you insted of cigarettes now whenever u feel like smoking eat one of chewingums or chocklates. This can help belive me. keep conmcentrating on other routines of life it is not by any medical treatment that you will cure yourself its your mind that helps. Do all your favorite activities other than smoking when you are bored. Best is cultivate a hobby. Its henceforth very easy to stop smoking because you have now wanted to stop smoking. All the best! Oh, yes there is withdrawal. You can do it but you have to be committed to stopping. Not just for a week but forever. Here's how. Choose a date, like August 1. You will have your last cigarette on the evening of July 31. Remember that. Drink juice, go for walks (tell yourself you are getting healthy) and generally avoid situations where you smoke for now. If you smoke on the phone, stay off the phone. If you go on break with the smokers, don't go on break with them, etc. Now get a white plastic drinking straw and cut it the exact length of a cigarette, stuff it tight with cotton, and place these all over your house, car, work, or where ever you smoke. "Smoke" these when you feel the need (they really help!) Not only do you need to break the nicotine addition (3 days) but the "hand to mouth" which last much much longer. Good luck. It works. I'm smoke-free! I used to smoke 150 to 200 cigarettes a day. Even on the day I stopped smoking (Forty years back), I had already smoked 150. But, there was no withdrawal symptoms.

I was near a forest sanctuary and used to go for very long jog/walk/photography sessions (two to three hours) every day.

What really helped was that I was so much addicted that the smoking act was almost autonomous without any pleasure. I was even unaware of smoking. Probably this helped in preventing withdrawal troubles.
