Are there any herbs, vitamins, or minerals I can take which will help prevent mosquito stings?!

Question:

Are there any herbs, vitamins, or minerals I can take which will help prevent mosquito stings?

I'm interested in foods, etc that can help make me less interesting to mosquitos. I have lots of allergies and this weekend discovered that mosquitos are one of them. I got a fairly high dose of venom from being outside and even now several days later my face is swollen and one eye is shut. I finally itched so much last night that I scratched and discovered that if the sites weeped that it helped reduce the itching - obviously i couldn't do that around my eye and eyelid. I have been taking benadryl and my breathing has not been impaired but obviously in the future I need to take precautions. I think I heard one time that taking garlic pills would help. Does anyone know about this or anything else?
