More info: The addict has problems with Ritalin, Cocaine, some pot about every 5 months. The person has been diagnosed with a sleep disorder, (why the Ritalin) and now wants to kick the RItalin and continue the Ephedra.
Won't it lead to abuse of the Ephedra and lead to other use?

Answers: I am also a recovering addict and yes taking Ephedra can lead to abuse. Also, I believe Ephedra has been banned from the market due to the health risks involved. It can lead to stroke and arrythmias. Bad stuff, dont risk it. That`s the problem with being a recovering addict .......... anything can set you off . If not sure , don`t take it ! Death. And that applies to both addicts and non addicts.
Where is she/he getting ephedra? It has been banned due to the deaths associated with its use. Diet pills and ephedra (which has ephedrine in it) are both
addictive. Why would a
recovering addict want to
go down the same controlling
road? As I recall, both are
barbiturates.
