Colonics good or bad??!
Question:
Colonics good or bad??
Answers: With a good therapist, they can be beneficial. Clean out toxins, tone the colon, etc. Any loss of beneficial bacteria can be fixed by taking probiotic capsules and restoring the balance--my therapist gives you one of these capsules with a small amount of organic juice after your treatment. Neither, just unnecessary. You can get the same effect from fasting for a whole day on occasion. I've wondered that as well. My friends (many of them nurses will say that the colonics destroy important bacteria in the instestinal tract. However I remember as a little kid, whenever I would get the flu or something I would get an enema (which basically is colonics).
I really disliked the whole process but my grandmother and mother considered it the best way to get well. Oh.. and my grandmother was the daughter of a well known physician in the 1906 time frame and they used all kinds of Alternative/complementary medicine because there wasn't anything else. I look at it this way. The body evolved in a certain way and has done fine for thousands of years. Why interfere with it by squirting a hose up your nether parts? Colonics are some smart person's way to make money on giving people enemas. I don't think they are actually bad, but I think you could spend your money on something better. I just can't see paying someone to stick a tube up my bum and flush it out. Unnecessary.
Liquid chlorophyll and apple cider vinegar are supposed to be good colon cleansers.
