Question:

Whats really good for a hangover( to get rid of it)?

Answers: Time or a steaming hot bowl of menudo will get rid of it. You done tied one on, M? LOL Source(s):
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/menudo_%28s... In the Search for questions slot type in "hangover cures" and you will get at least 265 results. not getting drunk in the first place.

on a serious note, nothing but time. well the best one is not to drink.. but if thats ever going to happen!! ;-) make sure you drink heaps of water - i am talking like a litre - before you go to bed.. i know this may sound painful but you won't regret doing so in the morning.. you will have more of a headache etc if you go to bed dehydrated!! but i always love the greasy food in the morning.. although that porbably not a hangover cure.. but at least its an excuse for a big breakfast!! macaroni and cheese, pancakes, i think coffee... Benadryl and a four hour nap. sparkling (mineral) water with lemon There are a lot, but I personally am familar with two methods (assuming you of course don't just avoid drinking excessively, which is normally the best option, or count commonly known things like drinking lots of water)

The first is the chinese method. They hold the viewpoint that alcohol problems are the result of a faulty liver, and that boosting the liver is the most effective way to be free of negative effects from alcohol. I have seen a taoist teacher instruct his students to do something with the energy channels going into the liver (so it was strengthened), at various points of drinking (before during or after). I've also seen people incapable of this being referred to accupuncturists who did work on their liver, or people being given liver herbs. All seemed to work, but I have a bias to the first one (directly working on it).

The other approach involves using hydrogen peroxide/ozone (although ozone is not very practical, so H2O2 is almost always used). Peroxide messes up some of the metabolistm processes of alcohol, and depending on the usage can keep someone from getting drunk, or cure negative afteraffects of alcohol (I've also seen research papers of it being used to cure alcohol addiction, but I do not have any first hand experience with this one). If you want more information on this I'd be happy to provide it. Doing anything with peroxide requires a bit of caution though, since if the dosage concentrations are too high, or the wrong form is used, negative effects can occur, so I'd advise researching it a little bit before trying anything. Not that it will help now, but before you go drinking have a nice steak - the protein slows the metabolism of the booze, giving your body a better chance to metabolize. If you are not allergic, taking one or two stress-type B-vitamins is supposed to help as well.

The third point is that alcohol causes your body to dehydrate. You need to drink enough water, which according to experts is calculated by taking your weight in pounds [example: if you weigh 125 lbs] and multiply by 55% [or divide in half, using the example, about 65 ounces or half a gallon]. Some of the literature on dehydration suggests that equal parts of water and tomato juice [like V-8] helps the body to rehydrate, but again, don't do this if you are allergic to tomatos! .. you feel bad because of dehydration nothing but time..if you go to a er iv therapy of a couple liters of 0.9% iv saline DONT DRINK! Barley Grass : )

alcohol is very acidic and can stuff up your ph levels.

barley grass is ver alkaline and can help to restore levels.

Alcohol also is very dehydrating, so drinking water is a must.

http://www.natural-health.net.au/article... A hair of the dog that bit you will do the trick. Please be careful to not get drunk all over again. Usually just one drink is enough to get you over the hangover. Omega 3 fatty acids from fish oil, sold in capsules, that will do the trick if you take four before you go to sleep. Herbalife had some good ones, but you might like to shop around for a reputable brand, because there are a lot of cheap ones on the market, which are no good.

Drink plenty of water and eat some ham and eggs with plenty of hot sauce, the kind made with fresh serrano peppers, or better yet, eat the peppers fresh. Time and proper rest will do the trick too.
