Can Tickling Actually Be Therapeutic?!

Question:

Can Tickling Actually Be Therapeutic?

I'm going to explain my question, and I don't want to sound like a freak lol, so please listen:

It seems to be that tickling can actually be therapeutic for some. Many people do have tickling as a sexual fetish but that is not what I am talking about. When one is tickled for a long time (over a few minutes) the body loses control and many endorphins and bodily energy get released. This causes one to feel like they are on a natural high, sort of like in a nirvana state of mind, and it feels great for some.

So I ask, do you think that tickling can have some therapeutic qualties to it between people you trust. For some the method of being forced to laugh and lose control can work wonders for people.

Would you ever want to try it?

PS - Don't know if this belongs here in alternative medicine but it definitely is an alternative form of therapy.

Answers: I'm not sure if there are any evidences of this. but release of those neurochemicals does do more good than harm. laughter is definately good for your body. It definately gives your heart a good work out when you are tickled, so that would be beneficial. good question... Source(s):
