Question:

How to ease nerves?

any tips on easing nerves for a driving test?

Answers: my husbands step mother used to get terribly nervous with ddriving lessons she used to use Dr Bach Rescue Remedy - chammile tea is relaxing but not before the test you will to keep ur witts about you so a little nerves will be a plus! the adrenalin will keep u alert. If you are goint to take anything it would be a good idea to trial before the day of the test and see exactly how it will affect you! i would steer clear of drugs! good luck with the test. Before you go to bed, drink some hot Chamomile tea. That will calm and relax you.

Before you take the test, just stay positive and tell yourself that you will pass and do great!

Just believe in yourself and you will do just fine. :) Easing nerves is very similar to tickling fish, but you use the back of a spoon. when I was pregnant, I used to drink Chamomile tea, and it would calm me right down and sometimes it even put me to sleep. Anything necessary except drugs Eat a banana. The potassium helps with nerves. I used to eat them before plays when I had terrible stage fright, and it was the only thing that kept me from throwing up like crazy from nerves. Also, avoid caffeine and sugar and anything else that makes you jumpy.

Good luck on your test! I'm taking mine soon too. :) Bachs Rescue remedy. Fab, available from Boots. Couple of drops on the tongue, or drink in a glass of water.

Good luck in the test A good nights sleep. Lavender is a natural relaxant whether you use lotion or place dried lavender around your house, etc. That's one herb that is used for relaxation. I'm currently in pharmacology and we just finished a chapter on alternative medicine. Also, that's what my chiropractor recommended for me for stress. If you have a scent that is comforting to you try putting a little under your nose. I bought a little bottle of honeysuckle oil. It does the trick for me. I suggest doing a deep breathing exercise as well as affirmations.
Sit in a chair or on the floor with a pillow underneath you. Gently push on your stomach with one hand. Begin by breathing in through your nose and expanding your stomach as you do so. Breathe out through your nose and contract your stomach. This way of breathing sends more oxygen throughout the body which energizes and relaxes.
Along with this, say the following, "I am totally relaxed and confident about passing my driving test."
Hope this helps. Lavender aromatherapy is good. Also try the herb Valerian Root. It relaxes you without making you drowsy or sluggish. Try the herbal remedies 'Kalms' or 'Rescue Remedy'. both contain Valerian extracts which is known for aiding relaxation and relieving bouts of stress. Alternatievly you could dab some Lavender neatly onto your pulse points. You can find such products in places like Boots, Holland and Barratt and other local pharmacies and are relatively cheap to buy.
