Has anyone experienced a holistic treatment for ADD? I need that.?!

Question:

Has anyone experienced a holistic treatment for ADD? I need that.?

I particularly need something for energy and focus. Thanks

Answers: My oldest son has autism and adhd. He used to be on Ritalin (UGH!) and had more side effects than therapeutic results. I took him off of that and put him on a passionflower and kava kava regimen (as well as milk thistle seed to help repair the liver damage caused by the Ritalin) and we saw results within a week. After about 1 month he no longer needed the daily dose, and would only request it on really stressful days. He hasn't needed it at all for about 2 years now! (We did this 3 years ago). You can try the "Focus" herbal remedies from Native Remedies.

edited to add: bet your child has plenty of focus when it is something he or she is interested in! You need a standardized phytosterol product. It feeds all 87 hormones of your body. Only one company has a patent and makes it. Message me for this non toxic food supplement to learn more.

Its for focus, sleep, depression, energy, blood sugar, etc... Try cutting out sugar and other simple carbohydrates (white rice, white bread, etc) from your diet. I notice a big difference in focus and anxiety when I do this. It takes a couple of days to get your body used to the new diet and see the positive effects (but unfortunately, if you eat some sugar it will have a negative effect right away!) Chamomile tea is used by herbal practitioners for ADHD, I don't know how effective it is, but worth a shot. For energy, try Yerba Mate tea or Eluthero (also known as Siberian Ginseng). The most important thing is to only try one new thing at once - I know its tempting, but it makes it hard to tell what effect (if any) each individual treatment is having. Add one new thing in each week. Figure out which symptom is causing you the most problems and treat that first. Hi,

Try goji berry juice. It's 100% all natural, no over dose, no side effects, and taste so good! It's not herbal (like roots, leaves, seeds, rind, etc.) but a juice (like apple or orange juice). We recommend this to our patients and show consistent results with 2-3 ounces three times daily. Below are some helpful links for your reference.

Hope this could help you. Good Luck!

Edwin
