Marijuana as medicine?
I know it can be used as medicine but what can it actually cure, anyone know?
Answers: MJ is used mainly for cancer patients. First, when going through chemotherapy, you go through a great deal of pain and nausea, MJ helps greatly with that. Also, it brings back your appetite. Cancer patients going through chemo lose ther appetite. Infact, the main cause of death of cancer patients going through chemo is not the cancer, but some other illness you contract like pnemonia,b/c the chemo weakens your body's defenses. A big reason this happens is b/c the patients do not like to eat because they have no appetite and they will just throw it up anyways. Not eating is a great way to help lower defenses. So MJ stops nausea, pain and brings back your appetite. Also someone said, is it worth the risk of getting lung cancer? I say yes. If you don't take it you are most likely going to die anyways (b/c it is only prescribed for people who are not making progress). at least you will have a fighting chance at life. Also, it is not like you have to smoke it, it can come in other forms. and if you do just smoke it for a few weeks, it will not greatly increase your chances of lung cancer. Lung cancer that is caused by smoking does not appear just bc you smoked for a couple of weeks. umm.. i think if u have problems w ur lungss It doesn't actually "cure" anything. It's used as a pain reliever, and helps the patient relax. Cures nothing. It is used to ease the pain of things like glaucoma. It also eases the stress of people with ailments such as cancer. Hmm I wouldn't say it can cure anyone no. But , it does help with some cancer patients so they are not so sick and can eat!! yer it is medicine

i think its for catarac or something im guessing i think its used for stress and to calm people down also as a painkiller. no it will help the pain tho No cure. Just a numbing effect. Some people with bad eyesight can be cured because marijuana relaxes the blood vessels near your eyes. I've heard that it can be used to treat people afflicted with glaucoma. i dont think it cures anything. but it reduces pain for cancer patients, and helps to feed people on aids (builds an appetite). thats all i know... other than its real fun to use recreationally. ILL TAKE SOME!!! It doesn't cure anything. I've heard it helps glaucoma, but there are more effective treatments with less side effects. I've heard of it being used for pain control, but there are other options for that. There's a marijuana derivatve that is used sometimes as a drug to push people to eat more. I relieves the effects of chemo used for treating cancer patients... it helps relieve the nausea but it doesn't cure anything. I know for here you can have marijuana as medicine to calm people down with nervous disorders or people with AIDS, because they need to eat. Usually people get the munchies when they smoke Marijuana. Usually the gov't are strict in how much Medicinal Marijuana the person is allowed to have. It is a controversal subject...

;-) It is mostly used as a pain reliever for conditions like Sickle Cell and Cancer. Nothing because it does more damage then anything else.. It should only be used on the terminally ill....
People say it is a great pain killer but is it worth killing brain cells
and raising the risks of smoking related cancers? Cigarettes and alcohol are less invasive then Marijuana...Now what do you think?
