How does it differ from the anti gravity swing (not sure that is the right name for the device that swings you upside down to stretch out your spine.) Since I don't have insurance I would like to get an opinion as to which method to invest in to cope with Degenerative Disc Disease.

That's what I've suspected might happen.Thankyou for confirming it for me. My husband did. He has Degenerative Disc Disease. This procedure actually made him worse as it caused some discs to herniate and caused fluid leakage from the spinal cord. Messed him up pretty bad although the disease would've eventually caused the same outcome. Surgery is now completely out of the question.
Add** If you can, try to see a good Neurologist or Orthopedist for suggestions on alternative therapies. One thing they did recommend was hydrotherapy, physical & massage therapy. Many Dr.'s will often charge a lower rate for those w/out ins. Also, hospitals usually have programs for uninsured patients that will pay for some or all of tests/services (MRI's, CT scans, bloodwork, etc...) for those who financially qualify. Check them out if you haven't done so.
BTW... The massage therapist that treated my hubby... Is the one who brought me into the Truth :) Take care Sister I know nothing about spinal decompression.
