What herbal medicine can be used as a pain killer?!

Question:

What herbal medicine can be used as a pain killer?

Answers: Eazol can reduce the level of prostaglandins in your body. These compounds can cause the aches, pain and inflammation that make life miserable for so many people. Eazol helps to relax your muscles and to reduce swelling. It improves blood flow to areas such as the joints. http://www.natural-pain-relief.ze.cx... Feverfew, with caution: I understand the herb is potent and could cause problems if used in excess. And cloves is used to treat mouth pain.

There are others, but those are the ones that jumped out at me. That would depend on the type of pain and where it's located. If it's a simple headache, and you do not have an aspirin sensitivity or on blood thinners, White Willow bark will do the trick. Migraines call for Feverfew, inflammation use Cat's Claw Bark, Blue Vervain will work for general aches & pains (so will White Willow Bark), though it can make you sleepy, and St. John's Wort will aid all (accept Feverfew) in doing their jobs better. St. John's wort can cause some photosensitivity ( more likely to sunburn) so put on sun screen if you take it and go out of doors. These are things that I've used both personally and recommened to my clients as an herbalist. Good Luck! There are all kinds of things.

Salycilic acid (sp) the chemicals in aspirin can be found in Willow bark. Aspen bark, and wintergreen leaves.

are three examples.

There are dozens of others.

You need a good herb book. I recommend "The Herbalist" by Meyer books. Chamomile tea can be soothing. For arthritis pain, capsicum (red pepper) creams can be used topically.
