Camphor oil question...thanks?!

Question:

Camphor oil question...thanks?

Could camphor oil (Cinnamomum Camphora) be used to generate heat in an area that requires that in place of heat therapy. Is there anything better than camphor oil for generating such heat...mustard oil for instance? Thanks in advance for any suggestions, tips or advice.
Thanks.

Thank you all for your input :) Mustard oil generates a great deal of heat for sure. Try cantharides (the oil of the Cantharus fly) for irritating the area and thus generating internal heat. Tiger balm also works as well as Amrutanjan which is an Indian preparation. If you have a friend in Taiwan ask them to send you heat pads which you stick on the area where heat is necessary. Taiwan also has other heat inspiring products which are amazing. Yes' peppermint oil an icy hot alternative Tiger Balm is fantastic.
I think camphor is actually one of its ingredients.
Get the strong red version, not the mild white.
