Best herbs to TREAT KIDNEY INFECTION?? (Not just diuretics)?!

Question: I use 3 products since I get chronic kidney and bladder infections. And as my urologist told me, you don't have a kidney/bladder infection without have a bladder/kidney infection! Those organs are just very joined together. Makes sense if you think about it... I use Olive Leaf (2 capsules 4x a day) which is a natural antibiotic, Oregano (2 capsules 4x a day) which is a specific herb for the urinary track, and I drink Organic Cherry Juice (to help with the kidney pain and as a mild diuretic) as often as I can stomach it. The urologist told me about cherry juice. He said it was better for your kidneys and bladder than cranberry juice was. And cranberry juice is very high in sugar and hurts my stomach if I drink more than a small glass of it. As long as you aren't allergic to any of those herbs, this works wonders to help heal your kidneys and bladder. I hope this helps and you feel better soon!

It would seem diuretics would actually make it worse, you should hydrate and use cranberry. If it gets too bad you might need to use antibiotics and strong medicine.
Once it is an infection you will need antibiotics to get rid of it. Sorry.
The best things for kidney health are Cranberry, Juniper Berry, Corn Silk, Uva Ursi, and some of the B vitamins.

Diuretics can actually make the situation worse, but they won't really help, as they just force stuff through your intestines (which goes to your rectum), not your kidneys (which goes to urine).

If it's already infected, the things I listed may not be enough to overcome an infection.... they only help nourish your kidneys and urinary tract. If you get this problem often, you'll probably want to take one or two of them for preventative measures, but no supplement can claim to cure any ailment or disease for every person.
D-mannose has a proven track record with clinical control studies for both the treatment and prevention of UTI's. It actually keeps the bacteria from sticking to the ureter and bladder walls.
Check it out on line and then go to your local healthfood store.
