Answers: Apart from St Johns Wort what other herbal remedy works for mild depression.
I'm in the similar situation, last week i bought a bottle of "St. John's Wort" pills that are harmless and are herbal and the best part there so cheap, after a few weeks on these they claim to bring you out of your shell and start living :)

The best remedy is for you to get on and do things.

You'll get satisfaction and confidence from doing things, and that's the best remedy.

Don't look for mystery cures, just get on with your life and do things.
Homeopathic remedies. Get a book by Dr Keith Souter called Homeopathy Heart and Soul. It helps you diagnose what type of depression you have and what remedy works best for it. I took arsenic (arsenicum album) for road rage and it worked!
Exercise and living a healthy lifestyle.

Booze, lack of sleep, lack of vitimins all worsen depression.

A balance diet with your five a day, some dark chocolate for the happy hormones, 8 glasses of water a day, regular exercise = happier person!
Winning the lottery or finding a rich lover in the personals.
Omega-3 fish oils. Good scientific evidence that they are helpful, and may even prevent depression. Trouble is you need 6x 1000mg capsules per day. Most important is the EPA fatty acid.
I have suffered from depression in varying degrees over the years. Types of cures i tried i wouldn't recommand to anyone. Mostly drugs and alcohol and denial I even tried to bleach my hair as an escape from myself. Didn't work the only thing I can recommend is for you to take some 'me time' figure out what it is about your life thats bringing you down and change it.
get some music in your ears (some of your favourite feel good songs) and go for a brisk walk! works for me everytime!
meditation, and a hot cup of hebal tea. Relax its your day
I think your best bet is to try and identify the cause of depression and see if you can do something about whatever it is at the source level. If you hate your job or you
