Alternative therapies for menopause?!

Question: Feyanni has some good information for you. I get a natural bio-identical phyto progesteron cream from www.askdr.helen.com The progesterone comes from the wild yam. They also carry a cream that contains the red clover which helps with hot flashes. On Dr. Helen's website their is a short questionaire that you can do to help determine which product is the best suited for you. The cream cost $18.00 for a 2oz jar but you only use 1/4 tsp. twice daily for 25 days a month if you are menopausal. If you are peri-menopausal you would use 1/4 tsp. twice daily on days 12-26 of your cycle. This is what I have to do as I am in the peri-menopause stage. The cream did regulate my periods back to normal. (I was beginning to skip my periods for 1-2 months.) Anyways, Dr. Helen Pansanti is a doctor out of Newport Beach, California and has done extensive research on menopause, PMS, ect. I saw a Dr. Phil program where his wife was talking about alternative treatments for menopause and I knew when I hit that time I would not take hormone replacement. I am totally pleased with this product and would highly recommend it!

Seems I might be menopausal, that is no more periods? However I have been Climacteric for about two years, not that I noticed it. Yes my periods did go out of cycle so I saw the Doc who informed me I was Climacteric. I was on Evening Primrose Oil due to PMS and Arthritis, but have little if any symptoms of the menopause and I think I have reached the end at 48.
If you are having problems, you really need to see a natural herbalist in your area who can give you better info than found here. Otherwise you may try dong quai as a supplement but it all depends on what problems with menopause you are having. You just can't pick up a single root and use it for everything.
Evening Primrose Oil
Evening Primrose oil, Wild Yam Root, Black Cohosh Root, Vitex are some that help with menopause symtoms.

I have tried Estroven, not sure it made much difference, but Black Cohosh, Evening Primrose and Wild Yam Root, I know helped me. I took all of them according to the instructions on the bottle. I prefer to avoid soy products.
