8 mg for females and 11 mg for males over 19 years of age
If you take a zinc supplement containing 25 mg of zinc you could take 1 a day. 2 a day is a bit much because that is 50 mg a day and the danger level is 80 mg a day. At that level zinc becomes toxic and you are overdosing. Even 50 mg a day is probably overdoing it.
