What is the best non-drug treatment to give a teen recovering from head trauma?!

Question: I had an anyerism in 8th grade, and was supposed to be messed up for life. Fortunately my parents had some connections to people in the alternative health field and I was able to get access to the following;
A very good chinese doctor worked on me
A very good osteopath saw me for about 6 months
I was given a supplement (I believe called acetylcholine)

My recovery was fast to the point the doctors could not explain it, with my original prognosis being "crippled and retarded for life," and at this point I mostly just suffer from excessive headaches.

I know there are a lot of overlaps between what happened to me and your problem, so hopefully this helps

Punch them in the head to kind of shake things up a little.

rest

I'd strictly seek the advice of a doctor and not people on Answers. I wish the teen well.

Blessings.

Do whatever the best doctor you can find suggests.

Don't be groovy. Embrace medicine.

Please just carry the child to the hosiptal. Let then decide

its called consult a doctor

rest and water. if this is not enough then they need drugs... and if tylenol is not enough they need to go to the ER

weed....oh wait

i mean marijuana

That person must drink plenty of water. The danger from a head trauma is dehydration. Drink the water.

She'll really need ibuprofen. Give her what is right for her. She has no internal bleeding right? You should use what is available because they're in pain.

No idea. But i have a friend who use to have severe head injury from an accident. I brought a lot of chocolate and honey and he said that he like it very much. And later part in his life he regain his memory. I think chocolate had a positive effect on both head and emotion. thanks and with best regard.

Not enough info to recommend anything.

Try to find the best cranio-sacral therapist you can. Let this patient rest until the doctor says it's OK. If there is persistent dizziness, vertigo or nausea, ask about the Epley's Maneuver. This is a movement which helps reset crystals inside the inner ear and can bring relief after trauma, if necessary.

Make sure that the tissues inside the head are all intact and swelling has been relieved for some time <weeks> before trying anything alternative.

You listen to the doctors who went to school for 12 years lady.
This really is life or death....or more importantly - its about quality of life - you leave the herbs and vitamins out of it.....(and for the love of God, there are no crystals in the head!)
Those things just might interfere with a process called neurogenesis - which is how the brain grows new neurons.

Maybe some cranial sacral in a year - but leave that nuts and berries approach to healing alone.

Theres a good reason why the population exploded as medicine became more evolved - it works.
