I quit smoking marijuana for 20 days and i have severe insomnia?!

Question: i stopped smoking budz for about 20 days now and i cant sleep! im up until 4 am or later, because even though my body is tired, my mind doesnt want to sleep

this ruins the next day for me because i dont wake up until late afternoon, and when i do so, even after 10-12 hours of sleep, im still groggy

oh, my dear sweet, mary jane

any ideas?

ps-this is just a short 2ish month break....then ill return...so no drug counseling okay? thanks

Benedryl before bedtime can help. See your doctor about other possibilities.
Marijuana itself is neither bad or good, but has for many become an unhealthy habit, so no one has the right to counsel you unless they know more about your life.
Despite beliefs to the contrary, there are withdrawal symptoms from THC. Insomnia is one. Others include irritability and mild confusion. Because THC is fat-loving, it leaves the body very slowly. Although it shows up on most urine tests for only 30 days, it actually stays in your body much longer, so withdrawal is lengthier than, for say, cigarettes. Unfortunately, about the time you'll be past the withdrawal, it looks like you're planning to pick the habit back up. In doing so, you won't know what it's like to function without weed. I don't know what your reason is for quitting, but if it's to see if it's affecting you, give your abstinence time an additional 2 months. If you're just trying to pass a urine test for a job, remember that most employers have the right to test you at random, so you may have to make a choice between keeping a job or having the maryjane. Just FYI.

Tylenol or Advil PM helped when I did it

At first I'd try Benadryl or Nytol. But be careful u'll be groggy in the morning for the first night or so. But at least it may get u back into the routine of bed time and awake time. If that doesn't work go to ur doctor and see what they have available. There is a lot of different options.

melatonin, you can find it at health food store.
