hot pepper supposedly speeds metabolism, also exercise a more muscular person burns more calories at rest than a person who doesn't work out. I've also been told that eating small meals 5-6 times a day keeps metabolism sped up. Drink water instead of soda or juice.

5 or 6 smaller meals a day speeds it up. Nothing more than 3-400 calories though. That's what they're saying in all the "get abs by beach season" articles I read and then use for campfire kindling.

Also, those wicked little turbo-boost pills you can buy at GNC are pretty good. They're like super Red Bull in a capsule.

Two simple at-home ways that I've heard of are to eat foods that give you less energy than they provide (i.e. celery) and also to drink ice water or grapefruit juice.

I don't know about the water or juice and how well they work. It's just what I've heard.

1. Stop eating by 7 PM or two to three hours before bedtime.
