Is being about 25% deaf in both ears marks you as having a disability?!

Question: Deafness isn't a disability. I'm deaf in one ear and I make accomodations for myself... and the friends and family I have that are deaf make accomodations for themselves as well. I hope you're not trying to get benefits or anything... that would be kind of lame if you're capable of working.

file for dsiability and see what they tell you.

yes any type of deafness can be considered a disability according to ADA guidelines which state "any deviation from normal function in any human can be considered a disability thus making them eligible for ADA services"

My God - nobody's come on and said "Pardon?" yet........ ! ! !

i am about that percentage myself, but i don't want to be considered having a disability, I get on with my life. I have to ask people to repeat things or whatever, but i'm studying, running my own business and working and don't even want to go down that road. I had never considered this ear marked me as having a disability, i'm simply hard of hearing.

psh. I'm completely deaf in left ear and about 90% deaf in right, and I don't consider it a disability. 25% is nothing, hearing aids should be able to really help.
