Can anyone reccomend a safe fasting plan?!


Question: I would like to go on some sort of detox fast/diet. I would like to improve my overall health and not necessarily lose weight. I do suffer from alot of bloating and constipation. I am also vegetarian and have bipolar.I am on medication for my illnesses and would just like to feel stronger. Does anyone have any advice? Thanks in advance............

Fasting to cleanse your body is a good idea, as long as you do it properly. Start by fasting 1 day out of a week every week for next two months. You should avoid any heavy or big meals before and after the day of the fast. Soft meals such as oatmeal or rice porridge would be an ideal meal. During the fast, drink at least two liters of purified or spring water. Do not drink any other liquids such as coffee, tea or even fruit juice. Mineral water is acceptable but not distilled water. If you are taking a prescription medication, ask your doctor first to find out the drug's effects on the empty stomach.
It is always a good idea to let someone close to you to know that you are fasting and should be in contact while you are going through it.

Cleansing your body is just one part of total harmony. I would suggest some form of mind cleansing before you start on the fasting, if you haven't started yet. Such as meditation, breathing exercises, yoga, pilates..etc. What ever that could teach your mind to clear and have you in a state of total calm.

If you exercises regularly, continue to do so but pace yourself not to get too tired. If not, start by devoting at least 30 minutes a day for walking, running, cardio to induce sweating. Remember, you are doing this to get healthy not get weaker. Good luck!

ok if you r on meds you cant fast but you can go on a fruit diet it is the best thing

Drink plenty of Water & eat lots of Veggies also

For me,I do the orange juice plan.Every other day I stay away from solids.Days I do it I stay Blane.I feel great and look fantastic.

dont eat reg food...eat 3 salads a day...in olive oil and regular vinegar....add low fat turkey slices in small amounts to your salad if youre starving....take beta carotene and drink lots of water slightly flavored with your favorite juice.

put brocoli in that salad every time btw

Prepare to gain a lot of weight. I went on the Master's Cleanse and lost 20 lbs. but within a month I gained back 35. My advice, just eat fruits and vegetables for awhile to clean out your system but don't fast, it's bad for you. I went from being overweight to obese...not pretty and much more difficult to lose. Again: DON'T DO IT! Consider yourself warned. Constipation? Eat Fiber One cereal with soy milk, you'll feel better in 2 days, I guarantee. I suffered for years taking all sorts of things. Fiber One, the one that looks like sticks. Get it.

Fasting isn't good for anyone. You deplete your body of important vitamins and minerals. Be careful when you detox. Instead of spending ridiculous amounts of money buying miracle detoxing products, buy lemons or lemon juice. Have two table spoons every morning with an 8 oz glass of water. You only need to "fast" for the first two days. But in these two days, you must take a multivitamin and drink lots of water. After the two days, just continue the lemon juice every morning. Consult your doctor first. I know a way of fasting that starts with vegetable and fruit juices for a few days, after which you shall switch to just water. But it is safest to know how's your health to begin with. There is no one way that is applicable to all. It has to be tailor made for you.

Do a juice fast. If you have a juicer (I have the Jack LaLanne juicer) make your own juice. You can get creative and mix up different fruits and vegetables, but even if you do something as basic as carrot and celery juice it will have a huge impact on your health. The water from organic fresh fruit and vegetables is pure and the molecular structure of the juice water is more dense, sometimes referred to as 'wetter water'. Wetter water penetrates and absorbs into your body quickly, efficiently and gets into every 'crevice' to clean you all out. Fresh juice (not bottled or canned) is also loaded with fresh enzymes (great for digestion) that are so lacking in the SAD (standard american diet).

You should still drink plenty of water while doing this fast.

I recommend 7 days. When you break your fast choose light foods, nothing heavy, avoid meat and dairy.

I also have a 'liver cleanse' that you can print out from my website. Doing these various cleanses have eliminated my allergies, virtually eliminated my asthma, digestive issues, etc...

If you don't want to loose weight and just do a detox there are various programms that can be done. Full on fasting while on meds is not recommended.

Bipolar medication contains heavy metals, hence you are having problems and feeling week. So short of stopping the meds energy levels will stay low.
I know people who stopped their meds and lived happily ever after. Bipolar is often misdiagnosed and once on the meds it all goes downhill. The question is: what was first? the chicken (mental problem) or the egg (medication). Only you can make that call. Any form of depression has a connection to parasites. Parasites also cause bloating and constipation.
Detoxing will not necessarily kill the parasites. You have to do a special herbal treatment. (Don't do the pharmacy one as it is not sufficient).

The best fasting is the Islamic fasting ,..it is medically proven to have detox effects.
