Taking 3 to 6 high strength odourless 3,000 mg garlic oil capsules a day helps.

Switching from mucus generating dairy products and red meat to soy milk and white meat helps.

Avoiding citrus fruit such as oranges, mandarins and lemons also helps as they irritate your sinuses and activate the mucus glands.

Boil a big pot of water and lean over the top of the steam with a small towel over your head, and breath in the steam. Also Vick's vapor rub helps, it's med, but you don't ingest it. Saline solution nose sprays are just salt and water and help temporarily. Also a good hot shower helps (lots of steam). Alot of people say a chiropractic adjustment clears up stuffiness, but I have never done this myself since it's costly. Hope you are feeling better soon.

Picante sauce and chips should do the trick :-) Stick with the "medium" unless you're a hardened fan of hot pepper!

Hot Sour Soup it works everytime or anything spicy or hot that it makes your eyes water.

Take a hot shower and once the steam loosens up your sinuses just blow it all out.

Put a few drops of eucalyptus oil into a steaming bowl of hot water ................ being carefull not to burn your face by getting too close, drape a towel over your head and make a tent over the bowl and inhale the menthol steam ........... don't do it for longer than 10 minutes as that should suffice. This will clear a stuffy head and nasal passage and if you also add a couple of teaspoons of organic loose leaf variety peppermint tea it will also clear up a foggy and tired brain.

peppermint is a good natural way. Helps headaches, too.

I know if you have problems with your left sinus, it means your body needs eggs. I forget what the right side means. I know, sounds wierd but REALLY.

In addition to the answers provided by others (especially steam showers and eucalyptus steam breathing treatments), I brush my teeth and massage my soft palate in the roof of my mouth with my electric toothbrush. I also use the flat bottom of the electric toothbrush to massage my face -- the sinus areas that are congested. The vibrations of the toothbrush help to loosen the mucus, and it will begin letting down within a minute or two. Drink lots of fluids to liquify the secretions, too. I know that you feel miserable, but this, too, shall pass.

Okay, this came from an ENT (ear, nose and throat doc):

2 cups of boiled water
1 teaspoon of sea salt
1 teaspoon of baking soda
1 or two drops of vinegar
bulb syringe (from drugstore)

Mix together in a container. Let cool down to room temperature. When ready to use, I warm in microwave for about 15 seconds. Squeeze the mixture into the syringe and tilt head back. Slowly and gently, squeeze the syringe and fill the sinus cavities with saline mixture, then tilt head forward and let it drain out. (I let it sit in my sinuses for a about a minute...just breathe through your mouth during that time)

X-Clear Nasal Wash with Xylitol helps me, but what helps me the most is eating right. I find that if I avoid flour, sugar and dairy, and eat good quality foods like organic vegetables & fruits, whole grains, etc., I am much clearer. Since I have started eating better, I haven't had infections or colds either. What you eat really affects your immune system. This may not be the quick fix you're looking for, but it is far better to fix the core problem than to just relieve symptoms.
You may have allergies, so if you haven't been tested, you should. The information will help you to avoid those things that cause your congestion.
