I heard that taking a dump helps cure headaches, since it lessens pressure in the brain. Is this true?!

Question: No, definitely not. I used to work as a paramedic and many patients would have developed the symptoms of a stroke following a particularly difficult 'dump'. The reason for this is that blood pressure actually increases dramatically when you try to force your faeces out. Your headache would actually be worse during your 'dump'.

p.s. the difference in pressure after your dump might make it feel that your headache is better.

Think about all the toxins that you expel when you dump. The less toxins, the better you feel all over, including the brain.

No it isn't. Maybe unless you haven't taken one in a really long time and REALLY need too.

If your head has recently been up your ***, yes, pooping will help. BTW, can you email my boss and suggest a number 2?

Not unless you have poop on the brain and then again that ccould be a major side affect from having your head up your ***....LOL

It's possible, although I would suspect that straining would be a more likely cause for relieving the headache since you would be concentrating more on getting the BM out than the pain in your head. For once, a time when a pain in the *** can be a blessing in disguise!

It does not necessarily relieve pressure on the brain, but it does expel toxins that can be causing the headache. A good colonic will make you feel great.

Unless your brain is in your backside, it's not pressure that is causing your headache. The reason it helps is the removal of waste material from your body which release toxins into your system, giving you a headache.
