glucosamine is the processed form of glucose after it has entered the body and broken down by enzymes. it can be found in most fruits its not something that occurs ready (in that form) naturally.

the same applies to glutamine. its natural form is gluten which is found in wheat, malt, barley etc (bread etc)

the reason they make supplements for these is so that it is completely ready for the body to absorb it into the bloodstream rather than breaking it down from the foods we eat.

its always better to ingest these amino acids naturally so that your body doesn't get used to supplimental intakes

by the way it is found in many vegatables also and in abundance in mushrooms

I have ordered from and actually recieved discounted prescription medication from this company and the tablets have been effective.

I did not need a prescription (even though I have one)

The ones I ordered were metformin for diabetes.
They did work in lowering my blood sugar and I did test it many times.

I wish you good luck with your search.

There are no food sources of glucosamine. Supplements are derived from chitin, the hard outer shells of shrimp, lobsters, and crabs.

Glucosamine sulfate is the form used in most research studies. It is believed to be the best source because it provides the sulfur necessary for making and repairing cartilage.
