Sciatica pain.?!

Question: Any suggestions re how I can cope or get rid of the pain in my legs caused by sciatica, which is apparantly caused, according to my Doctor, by the bottom two disks in my back not having anything inbetween them anymore. Any info you could give me COULD give me a good nights sleep for the first time in a week. This comes and goes and I have not had this pain for at least two months, then suddenly there it is, again.

Are you sure it is from your discs? I have the same problem, but I suspect I have piriformis syndrome (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Piriformis_... and I found this exercise really helpfull http://www.rice.edu/~jenky/sports/piri.2...

So try that. If it doesn't help and it really is the discs I also recommend you to see a physiotherapist, or neurologist.
Good luck!!

see a therapist and try naprosyn or celebrex for pain. you should see a neuroligist for good measure

They have operations now to relieve that problem by inserting something, don't know what's it's called, between the disks. Check it out.

It may be time to see your family Chiropractor for a thorough evaluation, diagnosis and conservative (non-surgical) treatment.

For temporary pain relief, try ice (cryotherapy). This is more effective and safer than drugs.

Best wishes and good luck.
