Chinese medicine: Which meats are hot/cold?!
Question: My vet suggested that one of my cats would do well with cold meats such as venison or rabbit. She said that chicken is considered a hot meat. Is there a list anywhere that I can consult to see what other meats would be considered?

This information came from my holistic vet. My conventional vet told me to put my dog on venison for allergies, but venison is actually a hot food, and my dog is a fire and wood personality, so the hot food made her allergies worse. The information she gave me came from the Chi Institute: http://www.chi-institute.com/
Hot: chicken, venison, mutton, shrimp, lobster, beef kidney, lamb kidney, lamb liver, chicken egg yolk, ham, prawn, pheasant
Cold: turkey, duck, cod, conch, clam, crab, oyster, scallop, rabbit (raised), egg white, alligator, turtle, frog, shark
Neutral: pork, beef, salmon, sardines, tuna, catfish, goose, pigeon, wild rabbit, tripe, quail, carp, mackeral

Any seafood would also be considered cold. And I think cats like that kind of stuff.
Any meat is considered Yang,or strong, I prefer a vegetarian food. For persons I mean.I also eat eggs and cheese. I do not know anything about animals
