What's a good sugar substitute?!

Question: Stevia.

Splenda/Sucralose and Aspartame/Nutrasweet are both toxc.
Aspartatame is falling out of favor now, so I won't really talk about it, but Splenda is chemically very similar to DDT and I know quite a few people who have gotten sick from it.

After that happend, I looked the stuff up online, and there is a very good data base for how it makes people sick. The only reason splenda is "thoroughly tested for absolute safety" is because the industry paid for tests that said so. Cigarettes were as well.
Anyhow, your main question was which sweetener, and I think I answered the question. Hope this helps!

Honey

Stevia extract, find it at health food stores, it's a very sweet herb that has zero calories

Granulated Splenda

I have used Equal and it is too tart and has a after taste. Sweet and Low is good but too much is bad for a recipe. Splenda you can use for your cup of coffee to a cake or a pie and works everytime. Just use the equivalent amount of sugar or splenda. Great for desserts and you will notice alot of the diet drinks are used with Splenda now.

What is dextrose and why is it added to Sweet'N Low?
Dextrose is a natural carbohydrate derived from corn. All sugar substitutes in powder form contain dextrose. Dextrose is used to dilute the very potent sweetener to make it measurable for consumers.

why not just use sugar? its not like it really cuts down on sugar and calories and stuff everything turns into sugar when its digested. it can also kill you if you eat it every day i found a story of that online. go with an organic diet.

I would avoid Splenda. It has been positively linked with many nasty diseases including three types of Cancer.

I am going to assume that you mean white refined white sugar here. Cane sugar, turbinado or demarara are all good substitutes for white sugar that also taste better. If you're trying to avoid sugar altogether than I would suggest maple syrup or honey. Stevie might work, but tastes kinda nasty.

Stevia.

Steviasides are naturally-occurring in a plant that grows in South America. Stevia comprises 52 % of the Japanese sweetener market. Health food stores have it in the US where the chemical companies won't even let it be called a sweetener while their toxic additives flow right into people's livers and the catabolytes thereof must be cleaned out of the blood by the kidneys.

( Sweet-N-Low is the exception - almost a century of use has shown it to be very safe)

Stevia is 0 calories & has no side effects. I drink it in my coffee every day.
