Homoeopathic remedy. A tear placed on the tongue is it for a cold or depression.?!

Question: You know, I DO seem to remember hearing about that remedy when I was living in England several years ago!
If I remember correctly, it's supposed to help a person who's grieving over the loss of a loved one, hence I would guess it's connection to aiding depression.

In Olden Days, folks commonly thought that severe depression/mourning brought about a cold, so it would make sense that it's also connected to aiding a cold too!

All in the mind.

I have never heard about that. I know that homoeopathic remedies do work. I used to work in a health store. All good feed back. But a tear doesnt sound like a remedie i know of. THey have weird names like Arnica.

So a drop of salty water is suppose to cure depression or a cold? O-K then.

hi, i thought id be the only one up at this hour well i guess it's not so late 11:30pm but hey sweetie i went on every site i could think of, and even reading the question do you mean for someone to literally tear your tongue? please tell me I'm interrupting this wrong, well i will still look, but don't tear your tongue OK?

I'm sorry, but that is the most nonsensical thing I've ever heard.
PS: Dierdre, better check your own underwear. I'd be happy for any information shows a tear on the tongue helps with anything.

I've never heard of that at all. It wouldn't be homeopathic, as homeopathic remedies are not fashioned in that way.

As for the chiroquacktor who is tired of getting lumped in with holistic charlatans .... get a life. Your principles are no different than those of Acupuncture, herbalism or other healing arts. You are no more "scientific".

I actually think that the "doctoral" work of any sort of practitioner is a farce, especially when it comes to Chiropractic. You spend years in school only to justify your rates.

Do I think that Chiropractic is effective?Certainly. Do I think it requires the amount of schooling you have? No. You guys are awesome at reading X-rays. Most though make claims that are quite pseudo-scientific. Guess what... the body is more than the spine, and spinal manipulation is not the cure for everything.

So please don't insult the rest of the natural health field simply because your own underwear is too tight.

tears r therapuetic in all eye conditions but no other function is found even in history..look one more myth for the tears that the phoenix bird tears can cure all wounds and injuries...have fun

Depression.
Our tears are really little helpers. One of the things in tears is a feel-better chemical. We usually absorb it though the membranes in our noses by sniffing when we cry.
It makes me laugh all you poor creatures out there with such a limited out-look on our own bodies natural healing.....
