If i take 500 mg of Naproxyn, would that help a sore throat?!

Question: Do you mean Naproxen (name brand Aleve)?
Well, it's a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug, so if the sore throat is from inflammation, then it could help..... but if your throat is sore from something else, it probably won't help at all. Good luck!

Naproxen, belongs to nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). Naproxen is used to treat pain or inflammation.

Sore throats can be caused by many things. Viruses (like those that cause colds) can lead to a sore throat. Bacteria can also cause a sore throat, as can smoking, breathing polluted air, drinking alcohol, and hay fever and other allergies.

P.S.

What is the treatment for a sore throat caused by a virus?

Antibiotics don't work against viruses. Infections caused by viruses usually just have to run their course. Most symptoms caused by a cold-type virus go away in a week to 10 days.

Symptoms caused by mono can last for 4 weeks or more. If you have mono, your doctor will probably suggest that you get plenty of rest and that you not exercise too hard. You can take acetaminophen (brand name: Tylenol), ibuprofen (brand names: Advil, Motrin, Nuprin) or naproxen (brand name: Aleve) for the headache and other aches.

I dont know about Naproxyn, but unless you have a Naproxyn deficiency, it probably isnt the right cure.

The best remedy I have ever used for a sore throat is a cough syrup called Umcka by Natures Way. You have to take 2 T every 2 hours but it tastes good and soothes your throat, so I can hardly wait for the next dose.

Ginger Tea is a natural anti-inflammatory, so is tumeric (the spice) You can make your own tea with honey, ginger and tumeric, just boil, seep and strain. Hope you feel better.
