Manuka honey from New Zealand is absolutely excellent, its been trialed in a lot of our hospitals here in the UK now because of its healing properties, you should be able to buy it from a good health store or maybe online somewhere, just place a spoonful of it on lint and apply it to the ulcer, good luck.

    • Apply hagfish egg sack wrap poultice generously with kelp all ingredients should be fresh. Clean wound with hot water when changing poulltice, every thirtry six hours or so.
    Cayenne pepper, 1/2 tblsp morning and night with water.
    manuka honey. A good strenth, like 15+ rubbed into your leg will help. its a honey that contains a high dosage of natual bacteria from the manuka bush.
    it is avalable from most health shops now but dont do for the cheap stuff as it wont contain the bacteria you need to heal the leg.
    Floppsy, Interesting question! I'm curious to know what type of ulcer it is and what caused it. When I was caring for a quadriplegic we used maalox and aquaphor mixed together. Weird.....but amazingly it worked! 1 part of maalox to 1 part aquaphor. Both can be purchased over the counter. Good luck!
