Has anyone ever heard of an ear candle?!
Question: the idea is great but it just doesn't work, and it can be harmful.
it just looks like it works, the wax that you see isn't from your ears.
I've had ear candling done before it feels good, but don't be tricked, there have been lot's of studies on ear candling.

yeah. it's not really a candle. you go to someone who knows how to do it and somehow they put a thing in your ear and it helps get rid of excess wax

I've heard of one and would love to try it.. apparently if it's what I'm thinking of it's a cone that goes in your ear and the candle is lit so smoke goes down the cone and brings the wax out. I have a friend online who is into alternative medicine and she recommends it.
yeah Ive done that..Its this waxy funnel thing that you stick in your ear and burn the other end, and it sucks all the wax out of your ear. You can break it open and see all your wax its gross...But its really good for preventing ear infections. Btw you need to have someone help u with this because you need to be laying down while you are doing it. You can find these at health food stores.

Namaste. I use Hopi Ear Candles. Often referred to as ~ Thermal Auricular Therapy.
I use them on my children and on my self. Although it is best for someone else to light the candle and be present until the candle is ready to be put out rather than lighting it yourself.
Ear candling is pleasant and non-invasive. You can hear a light crackling sound. And I sometimes feel sensations of pressure being lifted out of the ear canal. They are reputed to successfully treat or be used as a complimentary method for a variety of conditions.
There are many reputable therapists out there. It is a matter of searching...

Yes I have heard of them and used them in my practice for years. You want to go to an experienced practitioner to have your ears coned. This will clean up many of the toxins that have gotten into your ears over the years.

When you use a q-tip it actually shoves ear wax in and hardens it so it doesn't naturally come out of the ear canal. Ear candles help to naturally soften the ear wax back to its natural state. The wax you see on the inside of the candle is not your ear wax...it does not pull it out of your ear while candling. It will just soften it then will naturally fall out of your ear like natural. We no longer use regular q-tips but the baby kind so you don't go down to far in the ear canal. I have used these several times on husband and 6 and 7 year old.
