Anyone ever heard of caffine to help treat adhd?!
Question: also any other no-med ways to help, I'm asking for my 3 year old i am trying really hard to not have to put him on meds. also any web site?

That is interesting because I remember a documentary about how ADHD is caused by too LITTLE action going on in the brain (as opposed to too much) so they act all antsy and stuff to make kup for it or whatever... so a stimulant is what would relieve the ADHD.
That is why caffeine sounds like it would work HOWEVER do you really want to give your 3 year old caffeine? I would think the effects of caffeine (and addiction!) would not be worth the helping of ADHD if that is what it actually does. Don't experiment!
In children ADHD, stimulants actually can cause the reverse effect that they would in adults. Ritalin is a stimulant.
It is not recommended as it is only short acting and if given in a drink will cause abdominal pain in a small child.
I would look at what he's eating.. Feed him a balanced diet with good quality meat, vegetables, and fruits..No soda drinks, and only water...Do it even if he doesn't like it...It's a young persons health at stake here...
