Why is marijuana illegal???!
Question: I don't see why....cigarettes are more harmful, alcohol also makes you act stupid and coffee is more addictive... and marijuana can be use as a medicine.....what do u think???

I have no idea, the government could really capitalize on the legalization of it tho! Think of all the cash that could be made! People find a way to get ahold of it anyway, so why not?
Because there is no tax in place and the government cannot control the supply and distribution like they can with cigs and booze. They are missing out on all that tax money!!!
Mariujana has been linked to mental illness including schizophrenia and depressive illness.I know several users that have since been treated for depression myself.It cant be less harmful than cigarettes can it?Since you need to smoke it with tobacco anyway dummy.
It also leads to apathy and sexual dysfunction.
There are many different theories for this:
1) All the mental health BS (its sommet like 1 in 1000 or sommet that will develop a problem from smokin weed)
2) Hemp can be used for fuel for cars and stuff and the oil companies wanted to make it illegal, and since cannabis is basicly the same thing - it was made illegal aswell and the reefer madness campaign (in america) was used to get people to stop smoking it
i really dont understand this mainly because of the fact that cigarettes are bad for you drink does not agree with some people. if anything marijuana should be legalised if anything. It makes you calm is a great painkiller for some people and it a good sexual aid for different people.In fact its been known to heightned all of your senses when you have some.
Mental illness.
Because the government are stupid. they could make so much money from it if they did legalize it. It would be regulated so there wouldn't be people selling it on the street commiting other crimes too. Alcohol is much worse - it can kill you in one night! The worst that could happen if you smoke to much cannabis is you fall asleep! There are some legal alternatives out there and some are pretty good :o)
Actually I just read something the other day that marijuana helps with depression and it also prevents you from getting different cancers.

Gee, if that was the case that would mean after 30 days when The THC is out of your system everyone would be cured lol.......It will be legal soon. I think 15 to 16 states have passed medical marijuana, that is the beginning..but reasons why marijuana is not legal 1) government can't tax it, we could grow it in our home; 2) pharmaceutical companies will lose a lot of money. 3) they will have to release all the inmates that are in prison for just marijuana charges.
Marijuana has been found to help to help with pain, bipolar, migraines,with the only side effect is weight gain....(purple Haze does not give you the munchies) You do not have to smoke it in a blunt..Tracy you can eat it , drink it, bong it, roll it.....
Instead of making a judgment about marijuana I will answer the question that you actually asked. The reason why marijuana is not legal is because not enough people want it to be legal. If it really were an issue of health then why is alcohol legal. The answer is simple. Enough people want alcohol to be legal that the government cannot stop it. I am not endorsing marijuana. I am simply giving what I believe is a factual answer to your question.
the main reason pure and simple is the government is getting filthy rich over high taxation over alcohol and cigarettes. think about it, how many times have they raised the tax sales on those two items in the last five years; and everyone can grow marijuana in their own home thus, no government control. and the biggest lobbyist are the pharmaceutical company and the very last thing in the world that they want to happened is for marijuana to be made legal, they would lose billions of dollars cause people would use the hemp instead of those poisonous pills, plus all of the medical benefits that they had suppressed and misinformed the public about would also eventually surface when people really start to feel better or maybe even cured of some of those so call incurable diseases. Remember, at one time alcohol was illegal cause of all of those so call moonshiners till the government finally manage to get control of it (prohibition era).
because it can f#ck your head up big time, even if u think u are one of the people that can take it. esp. the stuff that goes around today - its just tooo strong, horrible skunk.
Plus its bad for soceity, it just makes everyone lazy and not productive at all! Its ok for a small minority of wasters and people scabbing off the state to do it but imagine if the whole of the uk was smoking it! we'd be a bunch of losers!
