Does Propranolol make you gain weight?!

Question: Ive just been prescribed Propranolol by my doctor and read that some people have put on weight has anyone else had this problem whilst taking the drug?

Propranoll certainly does not directly cause weight gain, this is not a side effect of beta-blockers. However it is an older, non-selective drug and makes some people tired and sluggish, I suppose this could indirectly lead to weight gain.

I'm currently taking this med..but it makes my head hurt....haven't gained any weight...but i just started..let me know what you find out...and I'll keep ya posted on my findings
