Best way to treat diahrrea?!

Question: I have had diahrrea for the last 2 days. It's pretty much water now. I must have a bug. What are the best foods to eat and drink. Should I take anything or will that prolong it? I feel really weak and no appetite. I am not vomiting at all.

Try the BRAT diet. Bananas, Rice, Applesauce and Toast. Also, you want to be rehydrating yourself as best as possible with water, clear juices and anything with electrolytes. Smart water is good, as it is enhanced with electrolytes, if you can make a trip to the store without pooping your pants. Hope you feel better soon.

drink plenty of water but also go and buy some pepto bismol tablets. they helped me alot!

Drink PLENTY of water. The best medicine I have found for diarrhea is Imodium AD. If you feel like eating, try something light like chicken noodle soup or toast. You need to keep something in you. It will make you feel better.

Good Luck.

Take Imodium, sometimes I have to take 3 instead of 2, it really works=====

Fiber is good to add bulk. Also consider consuming more starch.

Take fiber tablets if you dont have any wheat or bran products at home.

Things like flax seed and wheat germ can help too. Dont know about quantities or dosages.

get some probiotics from the health food store, refrigerated section...take for 3 days

Get medicine from your doctor!!! Immodium is not always the right way. Some diarrhoea shouldn't be stopped by immodium in order to let out all toxic waste from your bowel.

Pepto Bismal. The longer you have diahrrea without it being treated the more dehydrated you will get.Take Pepto Bismal to get it stopped and then you want to drink some Gator Aide to
put the electrolites back in your system that you have lost from
having diahrria..
