Has anyone taken Chantix? How did it work? Is it worth the money?!

I did not order it online. I got a script from my doctor. Chantix is AMAZING! It is not like Wellbutrin at all. 20 minutes after I took my first dose I could feel something *click* in my brain (apparently at the addictive part of my brain) because suddenly I did not want a cigarette or anything else that has been addicting in my life. I will say though that I did stop it after a month because I started getting some headaches and some nausea but that doesn't happen to everyone. If you really want to stop smoking I highly recommend Chantix and even though it is about $90 for the first round (month? I can't remember) and $90 for the second (if you don't have insurance) I think it is worth every penny. Just my two pennies worth. GOOD LUCK! We should ALL STOP SMOKING!

Be careful ordering online!! Why can't you get an RX from your doc and have it filled at your local pharmacy?
I know several people that have taken it....it was fairly cheap...and seemed to work well.
First, my script for Chantix cost me 106 at Walgreen's, it works by not allowing the nicotine to affect your brain, so smoking when you get that nicotine craving does sooth the craving. This didn't work for me, but I didn't give it my best effort either.
I've heard bad things about it. Whats wrong with just using the patch? I went from 41/2 packs a day on day 1, to 0 packs or 0 cigs on day 42. The patch is what broke me from nicotine. I used each patch 3 days per patch or wore the patch til I got an urge which was approx. 3 days. and if it itches too much on your arm find another patch of skin to apply, for me it was my right breast Buy 1 weeks worth of 21mg patches and 1 weeks worth of 14mg. No side effects. But it does take away the urge to smoke!!!
