Answers: i have heard that some kinds of fish live in seas & oceans are carrying kinds of toxic like mercury.

Fish that live in the oceans will have some contaminants that they absorb.... however, any company that sells Fish Oil that has at least a mediocre quality will use Molecular Distillation, as that is currently the only safe way to remove any trace contaminants of any heavy metals (like Mercury and PCBs). It's basically an industry standard for basic quality and safety with any marine-based products.

Also, wild fish are a better source for Fish Oil because many fish farms use antibiotics and other chemicals that can be detrimental to people if they are ingested in larger quantities (meaning if you take Fish Oil on a regular basis).

Your best bet is Arctic Cod oil, it is fairly clean, I do believe.

I'm eating sardines instead of tuna right now because sardines are lower down in the ocean food chain and therefore don't accumulate as much mercury as tuna. Tuna is overfished anyway.

Farmed fish are fine, like tilapia.

The mercury content in fish in ppm is the highest in sharks and other very big fish. Shark is sold in fish shops as flake and you are better off without it.

The mercury content in ppm in small fish is not worth worrying about unless the fish comes from a mercury polluted sea as happened in Minnemata Bay in Japan a long time ago which was polluted with mercury from industrial waste that was discharged into the bay.

Fish oil is normally tested to ensure that it meets health requirements so the mercury content must not exceed a prescribed low level.

mercury is a heavy metal that is found in waters polluted by petrochemicals, such as oil spills or waste-water runoff. so fish that inhabit waters near cities or other sources of pollution are more likely to carry mercury, although some fish are more susceptible to carrying it than others. also bottom-feeders like catfish or flounder are more likely to come into contact with heavy metals. mercury can cause cancer, among other things.

Good quality pharmaceutical grade fish oil from a reputable company would be the best choice. Natural Factors and Nordic Naturals make good products. The fish these companies use is from good sources and they molecularly distill the oil and remove any toxins. They also perform strict quality control so you can feel confident that the mercury and other toxins are not present.
Once, I used the Costco brand of fish oil because a prominent natural physician recommended it, and it was toxic and made my intestines become ill for a while.

well nothing in this world is 100% clean...yes some canned tuna may contain mercury..but its a low %. some to avoid if you're worried is; orange ruddy, salmon, halibut
