What kinds of medicine is there that will make you seem calm that you don't have e to have a prescription for!

Question: The most popular natural products for general relaxation (none of which requires a prescription) are Valerian, Chamomile, and Hops.... but some people actually wake up when they take these and are just very relaxed.
There are also some supplements that can help with stress and relaxation if you wanted natural help for that. There is St. John's Wort, SAMe, some B-Vitamins, GABA, Ashwagandha, and L-Theanine.

Look for kava kava at your health food store or where they sell vitamins at a drug store. It works pretty good. Valerian is okay, but it can make you sleepy and is usually taken before you go to bed.

Check out Bach Flower "Rescue" remedy. It is completely natural and does wonders for stress.

If you can get to a Chinese herbal shop, ask for Ling Zia. It is a very good relaxant. It comes in a cube and just add hot water. It will take the edge off those things that get to us. You can take a few of these every day and a couple before bedtime and you will sleep real well.
It is also known as Reishi Mushroom in the capsules, a great cancer remedy

Rescue remedy. You can find it in your health food store.
Also, if someone generally tells you its 'worthless' they don't know much about homeopathy.

In the right dosage, alcohol will make you calm.

Incidentally, "Bach Flower 'Rescue' remedies" are worthless.

Homepathic remedies are just plain water. This is the truth that homeopathy/remedies enthusiasts prefer not to talk about.
