I'll warn you beforehand, this is gonna be long. ^.^

On the receiving side, it feels absolutely wonderful. You feel so relaxed and at peace; some people will fall asleep during a treatment. If you have particularly bad blockages in your energy flow you may feel tingles, heat/cold/pressure of varying intensities, or a pins and needles feeling. On some rarer occasions (like when I treated my hunny after the hood on his Mustang pinned his hand) the receiver experiences an intense pain during treatment followed by a warm, "thick" feeling.

To give, you may feel a pulling sensation at your hands and arms (which is one of the reasons you must be attuned in order to perform treatments - so that you know how and when to temper the flow of energy so your own is not absorbed by the receiver). A lot of times the practitioner will feel the same sensations as listed above, but with more intensity. Then, also, are the times when the receiver is "closed" to Reiki and while you might feel the sensations of a routine treatment, they will feel nothing. (This doesn't mean that it's not working, just that they're not ready for it - the healing will manifest when they are ready to accept it.)

The benefits of Reiki - for both the practitioner and his/her client - is a great sense of well-being. It's really good for stress relief and any illness/ailment/infliction out there. Practitioners have used it to treat everything from mental/emotional problems, physical or spiritual problems, even ideas and wishes. You can "heal" the past, present, future, send Reiki to the war(s), etc. The thing to remember is that Reiki is -above all else- a system of *healing*, so it can never be used for harm. The energy used is infinite and without prejudice.

Also, while a lot of conditions can be lessened to an enormous extent, for legal reasons we cannot say that we can cure anything. There are some things that indeed appear to be cured by Reiki, but imagine making this claim and then treating someone who has cancer. That's a lawsuit waiting to happen. While the cancer will not be cured, the Reiki will certainly make it more bearable. It's the body that truly heals itself, we just provide the catalyst that aids the healing process. If you'd like more information, drop me a line. ^.^

Never heard of it

best way to have bf / gf affair without interruption of elders

I have both been the receiver and the giver of Reiki.

At its simplest, Reiki is a way to channel external energy through one's hands to help bring about a change of energy in the recipient.

Hope this helps...

Reiki is bogus. Practitioners pretend to shoot "energy" from their hands while the recipients pretend to get "healed". About the most ridiculous charade around. Don't get sucked into this scam.
