I am a chiropractor and depending on your degree of scoliosis will determine your treatment. Mild to moderate cases can be helped with manipulation and exercises to help ease your aches and pain, but neither manipulations or drugs can make you perfect. Severe cases will need to be handled by an orthopedic surgeon, and after that you will need therapy and rehab which a chiropractor or PT can provide. Typical conservative treatments for scoliosis would be chiropractic adjustments to help restore motion to fixated segments, massage can help relax the sides of muscle spasms, home stretches, and proper exercise and PT can help strengthen your core muscles and spine. Bracing can be helpful as well. Drugs can help ease any pain, but in severe cases an orthopedic surgeon may have to intervene.

You always want to start from the most conservative approach (i.e. chiropractic, PT, Stretches, Exercise, Bracing) to help ease your pain and try to correct the scoliosis. Surgery is the absolute last resort, and in my opinion, the recovery and pain post surgery is not worth it unless in severe circumstances. AGAIN, the chances of having perfection in your spine from scoliosis is slim to none no matter what approach you throw at it. You can only try and slow the progression and have normal day to day function without much PAIN.

same way
if you have completed your growth spurt chances are it will get no worse. occasional care relieves pain for me. I do exercise to maintain decent muscle tone and that helps also

add
pain relief for non surgical scoliosis is a reasonable objective
my dc is not a quack

What are you doing going to a Chiropractor for Scoliosis treatment in the first place! This should be receiving treatment from an orthopaedic consultant. This condition, depending on the severity of the curve in the spine requires the sufferer to wear a brace which is regularly padded to straighten the spinal curve. It sometimes necessitates surgery to have a Harrington Rod implanted. For heavens sake get to a proper doctor! (I worked with patients with Scoliosis)

A chiropractor CAN NOT...I repeat CAN NOT correct scoliosis. If you have significant scoliosis (not just a chiropractic diagnosis to lure you into an expensive and worthless series of 'manipulations') you need to be seen by an Orthopedic Surgeon (a real doctor) .

i have slight scoliosis, my doctor told me not to worry about it. It depends how bad yours is.

The people recommending back braces are about 30 years out of date, and Harrington rods should never be considered unless organ impingement is resulting (which only happens in very severe cases). Chiropractors can diagnose and treat scoliosis and do a very good job of it.
You can easily find Chiropractors who recommend a reasonable number of visits (8 to 12 in most cases over several months - far fewer than most physical therapists do) by visiting any insurance website and checking out their list, even you are not a member. Many of these doctors will offer substantial savings for people paying on the day of treatment (as do many Dentists and other health professionals).
Chiropractors are also trained in giving exercises to treat these conditions, so you get everything for the price of one. They also won't give you a bunch of useless drugs which are highly addicting and damaging to your kidneys and liver.
As for the people telling and retelling these ridiculous lies about my profession, why don't you try to check your facts somewhere besides Quackwatch, whose name alone tells you how "unbiased" they are. Start with the RAND study, the study by the Canadian Government, the Swedish Government, the Australian government (and on and on).

Chiropractors are quacks. They have nothing specific and effective to recommend for scoliosis that is not already done by ethical physiotherapists.

See an Orthopedist, or possibly a Physiatrist. If you like the drama of back cracking, you might want to see an Osteopath (assuming you live in the USA). Chiropractors often "diagnose" scoliosis where it is not clinically significant
