What prescription/medicine for treating ghout?!
Question: I don't know about a prescription but here is some information that I have found.
Gout can be managed by dealing with the things that make it worse. Identifying and avoiding the things that bring on an attack of gout are an essential part of your overall treatment plan.
For example, you should:
* avoid foods that are very high in purine - ask your doctor or a dietician for advice
* moderate alcohol intake - especially beer, port, lager and some red wines
* eat a well-balanced calorie-controlled diet and exercise to lose excess weight - for more information about maintaining your weight and a healthy diet, please see the separate BUPA factsheets Healthy weight for adults and Healthy eating
* if gout is caused by another condition (such as psoriasis) managing that condition may prevent gout
I use some supplements that may help with your diet. You may take a look at www.kyani.net/andreab or email me with questions. My email address is on my profile page.
I wish you the best!

Gout is treated by reducing the uric acid in the blood with Allopurinol or colchicine
Keep away from alchohol and cold.
Perhaps a web search for gout + "natural remedies" might be of interest.
My dad's DR gives him Prednisone 20mg for gout...BUT if you want to go the natural way try Tart Cherry Juice...do a search and check it out...and if you try the tart cherry juice MIX IT WITH WATER...it is some kinda of tart (LoL)
