If your wife had a tumor, would you take a one week course to learn how to do surgery on her so you could cut out the tumor? How about if she gets a toothache? Are you going to take a brief course in pulling teeth?
Get real man. I've practiced hypnosis professionally for 30 years, and there is no way that you can learn to be an effective Traditional Hypnotist, Ericksonian Hypnotherapist, or NLP'er in a one week, one month, or even a one year school, let alone from some course in a book or from a website.
Anyone can learn to induce a trance state in 5 minutes. But it takes years of experience to be able to really help someone once they are in that state.

Start by taking her to an hypnotherapist.
For basic meditation you can turn on some soft music. Have her concentrate on her breathing. Have her imagine she is surrounded by an amazing light. Tell her to imagine she is a strong woman fighting her problems. Or buy a book on Hypnosis.
Take her to a qualified hypnotherapist, so much easier. (Maybe you should go along, personally, I dont trust em)
