Has anyone taken Probiotics?!

Question: I heard it helps many things, even tooth decay! Is there any harm in taking them?

i have taken probiotics before, i had to have 3 Yakult drinks everyday for 3 months. the professor i am seeing said they have no harm as they are just putting good bacteria into your body. they help the bowel and stomach, but i dont think they help tooth decay because once you have it theres no going back!

They are good. They keep your intestines in good shape.

I have been taking probiotics for a little bit, couple months. The better one for me seems to be acidopholus, and it appears to be the most popular too.

You prolly want the live stuff, but I don't understand the importance of that. It also seems to stave off h pylori a little bit, but I am not sure if I really have h pylori.

Probiotics are supposed to be naturally occuring in your gut, anyway. Antibiotics destroy them.

We need them for proper absorption because they help to break down simple sugars and create short chain fatty acids essential to cell structure and cell health.

So, yes... I've supplemented with probiotics but that's not the only thing needed.

There are five systems that need to be addressed to support wellness.

These five systems are:

The immune system

The defense system

The endocrine system

The autonomic nervous system

The elimination system

Now let's take a look at what cells need in order for all five systems of the body to achieve balance:

Fatty Acids (Primarily Omega 3's)

Vitamin/Minerals (Not synthetic)

Enzymes (Categories are digestive and systemic)

Flora ( Bacteria to aid in digestion that our antibiotics destroy on a regular basis)

Carbohydrates (The 8 identified carbohydrates for cell commands and recognition)

Phytochemicals (Pigments identified in raw plant foods that are recognized by the National Cancer Institute).

All come from raw fruits and vegetables and natural yogurt cultures etc and since it takes 53 peaches to get the same vitamin A from 2 peaches in 1950... we are deficient and need to supplement.

In India it is eaten at every meal by virtually everyone in the form of home fermented yogurt.

It certainly helps. We take it for granted. We feed it to few months old infants too.
