How do you report a Troll?!
Question: He trolls the Alt Med section of Yahoo to put down sick people who have faithfully gone from doctor to doctor and are looking for answers from legitamate sources.
He trolls in a secton he is not qualified to be in because he is a math person who is great at giving engineering advice and he has this vendetta against healing. Why does he want to hurt innocent people?
Here are examples of what I'm talking about, just click on any link and read his nasty answers. So, is this a guy who has anything to do with healing or even qualified to be trolling around in the alternative section?

I have never personally reported K because I don't like to censor people I don't agree with (and I have seen lots of people claim freedom of speech but then try to censor someone they disagreed with).
However, I have talked to a variety of people on the matter and along with personal experience I have a few insights to add:
First off, a lot of people are pretty upset about the matter (not so much because they disagree with his anti alt med bias, but because he goes out of his way to flame anyone that mentions alt med, often in a very childish manner). I tried to make a public post about it (so it wouldn't be discussed behind closed doors),
But second, K reports other people on here a lot, even for doing things such as questioning some of his logic. I have seen numerous posts on here that were critical of Kalos deleted, even when their writing adhered to the community guidlines.
Third (which I cannot prove), K spends a lot of time on here (my guess is about 6 hours per day) consistently expouting the same anti alt med viewpoint, voting his answers, always thumbsdowning a certain group of people, responding to most posts lightning fast, so on and so forth, while also awknowledgeding knowing steve barrett personally. This led me to conclude he was most likely hired by someone in the PR industry to promote conventional medicine, since I can't see any other motivation to justify his actions. I care a lot about these matters, have a lot of free time, and I don't come close to that. The moderators seem to have a huge bias towards him, as they normally do not block what he says and block his critics. Quite a few people have told me doing things (like your post) are futile, since he's on the same payroll as YA. I'd like to believe otherwise, but that's a strong possibility.
My guess is that "reporting him" as you have done is pointless, and the only thing that will get any results is if a general outrage is expressed on these forums, and more and more posts like yours start popping up, since not all of them can get deleted.

You report every answer you see that is a put-down, sarcastic, or just plain out of place. It doesn't matter what section he is "qualified" in, he can answer any place he chooses. But if he chooses to troll around, then report him and keep reporting him every time you see a wrong answer. Yahoo Answers people will catch him if you do that.
He puts down sick people??!?
This troll really must be stopped. Sometimes with animals it is necessary but anyone who is putting down sick people should be held accountable, ask Dr. Kevorkian!

I, too, will be quick to defend the right of free speech. That right does not give permission to attack those with whom you disagree. Name calling (quack, stupid, lack of brains, idiots) adds nothing to an open forum. It does speak volumes about the individual who must resort to such tactics, I suspect from fear that closely held ideas/opinions may be just plain wrong and a history of failing while others succeed.

I do not know the person you are talking about, nor am I interested to know. I am answering your main title question only in the hope that it will help you and others on deciding whether or not to report somebody. So this is in response to:

A "troll" is someone who intentionally and persistently posts inflammatory messages about sensitive topics to bait users into responding or provoke a confrontation. We also consider people to be trolls when they persistently misuse product features such as the ratings system to negatively target others' Yahoo Answers Community Guidelines (YACG)
Why Report a Troll?
Most platforms which are used to raise issues, such as YA will attract non expert and unsubstantiated views. This can be exceptionally frustrating, particularly when factually incorrect answers are selected/voted as being correct.
How do we report a Troll or anybody else we believe is in violation of the Community Guidelines?
We do have tools to moderate the answers we receive to some extent ourselves, see the Community Guidelines (CG). It is up to us as individual as askers and answerers and as a community to ensure we use those tools effectively.
I suggest it is in everybody's best interest to work together, so that the following steps are taken by ALL people.
1) As a community, we do not accept contraventions of the Community Guidelines. This includes questions and answers that name an individual, that are rants, flame starters, hate speech, spamming, doing harm; 'this includes not misrepresenting yourself or giving advice in a way that might cause someone harm.' YA CG
2) Take mass COMMUNITY action, within the Community Guidelines on those we suspect as cheating by reporting them, NOT calling them out. Whilst multiple accounts are permitted, if they are used for point gaming, voting, to abuse Community Guidelines or to 'post content for the sole purpose of gaining points or soliciting others for points is not permitted. Posting filler answers to a question in an effort to be first to answer, or copying and pasting other members
