People always say done take ibuprofen on an empty stomach, but why?!

aspirin and ibuprofen are different, aspirin tends to irritate the lining of your stomah in an ulcer like way...ibuprofen is very highly concentrated and to much in a high dose can damage your kidneys, because your kidneysvare the organs that filte stuff like that hope it helps.
it hurts the lining of your stomach, and you feel sick to your stomach...eat a little crackers and cheese, a piece of fruit or half a sandwich.....
when you take any kind of medication, your liver is what absorbs most of it...if you do not have food in your stomach the medication has nothing to mix with...it will also be metabolized quicker if you do not take with food
Like aspirin ibuprofen is an acid. If you take it on an empty stomach it will/can literally BURN the lining of your stomach. Not something you want to deal with. If you have to take pain meds while your stomach is empty, take acetaminophen (Tylenol), it is safe.
